Singing strengthens the immune system. Immediately after singing, studies have shown that singers had higher levels of the protein Immunoglobulin A, an antibody known to help fight off infection.

Soothes your nerves and elevates your spirits.

Singing stimulates the vagus nerve. A 2010 study showed that the more you increase your vagal tone the more your physical and mental health improve and the faster you can relax after stress.

 

Social Benefits

A great icebreaker when meeting new people creating an instant social bond. Research has shown that heart rates begin to synchronise when people sing together.

Creates a strong sense of community and sense of belonging. Enhances the possibilities of empathic relationships and generates a positive group identity.
